Markus was the kind of person that would be eating something every time you see him. He just loved food and it was a way to make him feel good. The good thing though was that as much as he could eat he wouldn't get weight at all and if he did he would burn it really quick. He was happy while being with food and really he didn't wanted to think about anything else. His life wasn't like really bad and he was grateful that he couldn't really say that his life was a mess, but somehow it was. Kristen was his problem, but it wasn't like a bad problem just a good problem.
She was his best friend but that's the problem he wants to be something else than just that. He would think 24/7 about her and his mind would just come to the same conclusion. She just saw him as her friend and nothing else could happen between them. He didn't know if that was true though, but his mind was just that mean.
On the other hand food made him forget about her just a bit even though still she would pop out inside her head. He needed to relax and that was the cafeteria for. So Markus walked inside the cafeteria and took one of the trays as he asked some salad, spaghetti, and a soda. He sat on one of the tables ready to eat that food and concentrate on something else other than Kristan for more than five seconds.

The lean, blonde, Kristen Paul, entered the cafeteria by her lonesome. Most of her freshmen friends, unfortunately, had a different class schedule than she did; they ate lunch at a different time than she did. It was a bit funny, how her schedule was completely different than most of the freshmen; yet, she was one herself. Shrugging off the thought, Kristen waltzed over to the cafeteria line and braced herself for whatever crappy food they had on the menu today.
Her brown hues scanned over the menu to her right, which read: Choice of: Chicken Fingers, Spaghetti, Hot Dogs, Fries or Caesar Salad.
With a small grumble, Kristen grabbed a tray from the end of the line and cut most of the boys in front of her whose stares were transfixed greedily on either the chicken fingers or the hot dogs. She wanted a Caesar Salad, per usual; the last thing she needed was to feel sick before a major soccer game today. Kristen politely asked for a big Caesar Salad as she headed over to the mini-fridge on the opposite side of the line for a bottle of water. As she came back, the Lunch Lady handed her the Caesar Salad and she remembered her manners, "Thank you."
Markus! Kristen instantly remembered that he normally ate lunch with her this period. Oh, God. Markus and she were the best of friends and had been since childhood. Kristen trusted him with everything in her life, and wouldn't doubt that he trusted her with his. Speaking of Markus, there he was! Kristen spotted him sitting at one of the tables back towards the windows of the cafeteria. She waved, hoping to get his attention as she carefully headed over towards him. Setting her tray down on the table, Kristen smiled at Markus and took a seat next to him. "Hey, Markus!" He was looking quite cute today, as he always did. "How are you?" [/blockquote]

Lunch time was like a sacred time for Markus. It was food and he loved food so it was time when he concentrated the most to make his stomach feel like a king. He always say his prayers to the food god silently and start eating noticing nothing around him. It was like he went to a completely different world.
He took a sip from his drink and started eating his delicious spaghetti when he heard his name and looked up to see who it was and yeah it was Kristen. He had forgotten that they had lunch time at the same time and well after all he wasn't going to be able to get her out of his mind.
He smiled at her as he always did "Oh hey Kris" he said as she sat down next to him. He couldn't help it, but feel great around her. Many times in his life since he met her confused friendship with love. Many times he thought that maybe she was starting to like him, but no she always just did things for him because well they were friends. "I am ok, ready to devour my spaghetti" he said as he took the fork with his right hand as he played a bit with his food "Anyways how are you? For a moment I forgot we had lunch at the same time sorry I didn't wait for you."

Lacing her fingers together, the bright smile stayed plastered across her strikingly gorgeous features. Running a hand through her hair, Kristen sighed as she used the other to pick up her fork. Toying with the lettuce, she picked her head up and fixated her gaze upon him, listening to what he had to say. With a gentle laugh, Kristen nodded her head, "Yes, and I'm ready to devour my Caesar Salad, once again!" A thin line of sarcasm was lathered in her tone. "I wish the Cafeteria would just get some real food, besides a Salad and fried crap. I feel like I eat the same thing here every day!"
She giggled when Markus proclaimed that he was going to devour his spaghetti. Ah, boys and their food. There was never a time when Markus didn't seem hungry, or at least, that's how Kristen saw it. But, well, girls and boys had different thoughts about food; girls generally wanted to eat less, and generally, boys were constantly eating an array of different types of food. It was peculiar, in a way, how different the two genders were sometimes. Shaking this thought from her mind, Kristen dug into her salad after about a minute of toying with the lettuce. After swallowing, she took a swig of water.
"I'm fine, could be better," She replied, resting her chin on top of her laced fingers. Her gaze darted around the room to the various cliques situated at their usual spots. High School was both so fun, and just so irritating. If Kristen ever got the chance to go to a drama-free school, she would, without a doubt. "To be honest, I'm a little stressed about my soccer game today. I didn't get quite enough sleep last night. Oh, and don't worry about it. I'm a little too tired to think straight, so I briefly forgot too." Kristen yawned gently before digging right back into that salad, taking several more bites before questioning, "And how is the infamous Markus doing on this fine day?" [/blockquote]

Markus just smiled at her as she complained about the food of the cafeteria. He did agree with her though they could definitely do better with the food. He just listened to her as he started to eat his spaghetti getting sauce all around his lips as he always did. That was one thing he always hated about spaghetti, of course it was delicious but he ended up dirty. "You know you should eat food not salad too much lettuce might affect your system" he said with a small laugh as he looked at her salad. He never liked salad and if he ate it was for him to be polite with whomever he was eating with.
He kept eating his food as he kept listening to her sometimes it was really hard to keep up with her, but he really tried and loved to hear what she had to say about anything around them. It was just really important to him and really interesting at the same time. He took a sip from his drink as he looked at her and laughed as she mentioned about the soccer game and being stressed "Are you talking seriously?" he asked still laughing a bit "Why you so stressed about it?" he asked curiously.
"Hmm well I am doing good as always and nothing new just same old stuff like always" he said with a small smile "anything new with you?"
